Take a "Screen-Shot"

February 18, 2009 by alphaem

Have you ever been browsing on your computer and wanted to save something that you see on your desktop?  Like if you're reading something that will help you later and you don't know how to save it - You can take a Screen-Shot of your desktop!  On the Mac, you simply do this by holding down your shift key, as well as your Command Key and hit the number 4 - that's it!  You may hear a sound like a camera clicking and the "Picture" will show up on your desktop.  This works well for directions, or confirmation numbers sent to you for payments made or airline flights etc.  *PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS TO PHOTOGRAPHS TAKEN BY SOMEONE OTHER THAN YOU!  ALL PHOTOGRAPHS HAVE A LEGAL COPYRITE BY THE ORIGINAL PHOTOGRAPHER AND THIS WOULD BE COPYRITE INFRINGEMENT AND IS PUNISHABLE BY LAW!  THIS ALSO PERTAINS TO WRITTEN WORKS - YOU CANNOT COPY THE POST AND USE IT AS YOUR OWN.  (Just thought I'd remind you of that!)
